Our Curriculum

Bright Beginners Daycare offers a safe, warm, and secure environment where inclusion is prioritised, allowing children to thrive through a balanced approach that combines curiosity-driven exploration, structured learning, and personalised attention to their individual interests.

We adhere to the best practices and guidelines established by early childhood education frameworks, specifically the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to ensure quality and consistency in the care and education we provide.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

There are seven areas of learning and development that set out what we teach the children in our nursery. All areas of learning and development are important and interconnected.

Three prime areas are particularly important for learning and forming relationships. They build a foundation for children to thrive and provide the basis for learning in all areas.

These are the prime areas:

Forest School is an educational approach that takes place in natural outdoor settings, focusing on holistic development through hands-on experiences, exploration, and play. It emphasises fostering a deep connection with nature, promoting self-confidence, resilience, and learning through child-led activities in a supportive and nurturing environment.

This is led by a Forest School Teacher who takes the 3 – 4 year olds out once a week for their learning sessions.

We provide a comprehensive school readiness program which enables children to feel equipped with the skills they need for primary school confidently. These include functional self-help skills, in addition to early foundational skills in our daily phonics program.
